What is REACH?
REACH is the new Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. It entered into force on 1st June 2007. It streamlines and improves the former legislative framework on chemicals of the European.
NOVA Elektronik and its role within the supply chain
As a supplier of electronic components, electronic devices and their accessories we are not obliged to register these dangerous substances (SVHC) under REACH.
As an importer we need to register hazardous substances (SVHC) in such products that are included in a total quantity of 1 ton and at a concentration of more than 0,1 mass-percent per year and manufacturer.
A further requirement is the intentionally release of these hazardous substances under normal and foreseeable conditions of use.
As a supplier we fulfil the obligation according to Article 33 of the REACH Regulation to provide information of substances and products.
We declare that we do not import products into the EU, which release intentionally dangerous substances in normal conditions of use.
The manufacturers represented by NOVA were pointed out by us to the resulting information requirements within the supply chain.
